University has an active Watch and Ward Department which is providing Safety and Security arrangements round the clock covering a vast land area throughout the campus including 6 Girls Hostels and 6 nos. of Boys Hostels covering large number of Professors residences, Guest House, Departments, Buildings and a Museum with valuable and rare items.

This Department keep a good number of Fleet to meet all the vehicular needs to the university students, research scholar, staff and faculty members, specially connecting with airport, railway station, nearby city and even if Jalpaiguri Campus also.

The Watch & Ward department keeps 24 hours’ eyes open on the places and incidents that take place within the campus through CCTV Network System. Step by step, these department is going to extend it more effective services by utilising modern devices and mechanism to develop its performance for betterment in overall safety security environment.
